Grant’s Immigration Problems Finally Over

From the Charlotte Observer…

An immigration judge's ruling Wednesday in Atlanta will allow N.C. State basketball player Gavin Grant to move forward with his application for permanent resident status, Grant's lawyer said.

Judge Wayne K. Houser Jr. administratively closed removal proceedings against Grant, Elaine Komis, a spokeswoman for the Executive Office for Immigration Review, said Thursday.

Grant's lawyer, Anna Baird Choi, said his application for a green
card was held up after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents initiated
removal proceedings in October 2005 that could have resulted in Grant's
deportation. More…

One more cloud removed from NC State's Basketball Program. Hopefully Gavin will have a standout senior year without this hanging over his head.
