Whittenberg gets rewarded

Improving Fordham rewards Whittenberg with extension through 2013

Fordham coach Dereck Whittenburg agreed Thursday to a contract extension through the 2012-13 season.

The Rams improved their victory total in each of Whittenburg's four seasons. The 18 wins last season were the most by a Fordham team since 1991-92, and the 10-6 record in the Atlantic 10 was the Rams' best since joining the conference in 1995-96.

Fordham ranked first in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense last season, allowing 64.2 points per game. More...
