He sure as heck would have made a difference for the Pack this year.

By the way, who was the recruit that didn't quailfy?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7340889888833193780.post-66428128189658316212008-03-24T13:40:00.000-05:002008-03-24T13:40:00.000-05:00Thanks, that is great info. This new info makes much more sense.Ken Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13196005991325229413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7340889888833193780.post-39953669322034018862008-03-24T11:50:00.000-05:002008-03-24T11:50:00.000-05:00Just to clear up some facts from your lack of rese...Just to clear up some facts from your lack of research... Tech had only 2 schollies available in 2006 and they were both taken early. Seth Greenberg offered Curry a schollie if he would walk-on his first year and redshirt behind Jamon Gordon and Zabian Dowdell (which is more than any other major conference school offered). Besides, it's not like his dad couldnt' afford to pay the tuition for one year (besides Stephen is a bit light and could have used the year to put on a little weight... he was 5-11 and 140 during his senior year). Curry didn't want to sit a year and decided to play at Davidson who was glad to get him and would start him as soon as he walked on campus. I for one am extreemely happy for the kid and look forward to many more exciting games. Sure, I would have loved to have him play at Tech, but sometimes things dont' work out like you want... like the fact that one of the recruits who took the 2 schollies for Tech that year didn't qualify and won't ever play at Tech. Turns out Stephen could have played his freshman year...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7340889888833193780.post-33903649462984013162008-03-23T21:21:00.000-05:002008-03-23T21:21:00.000-05:00I've got to say that assuming they are actually co...I've got to say that assuming they are actually controlling what goes into the time warner HD Feeds, WRAL has really screwed up the way they have handled things. For the 1st 2 days things were as planned, with one feed per site. The problem was, there were intermittent signal problems/hangs of the images which would randomly pop up and last a few seconds. Unsure whether this was a WRAL or a Time-Warner issue. Those problems have cleared up, but today the feeds jerked you around randomly way too often. There was no way to stay with the Davidson game when you wanted. I ended up turning to ncaa.com online feeds. My guess is that those with DirectTV packages had better luck actually watching what they wanted.

What I haven't been able to find is a good place to talk to WRAL about these types of problems. They have a million blogs, do they have one to address things liek this?Ken Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13196005991325229413noreply@blogger.com
